Hawaii Trip!!!!....this is now 6 months after trip

We had some rough drafts of this blog posted months ago, but the video would never work with the words, or the words wouldn't work with the video...I don't know. But it was a total mess. Anyway, 6 months ago now we went to Hawaii, and here is our blog.

Day 1

We didn't take a single picture or video clip on the first day of our trip. Basically all we did was land and get to our hotel.

Day 2

On the second day we first went out for Breakfast at a little place that was less than great. I didn't mind it so much, but Amy was not impressed.

Photobucket

Then we went to the Pineapple Plantation for a litle while. Again, we didn't take too many pictures or video.

Photobucket

Photobucket

Here's some boring clips of us driving around, I'm just going to put them in a group if you're interested, but trust me....not interesting.

Then our day became more interesting when we went to the PCC (Polynesian Cultural Center)

Photobucket

Photobucket

Here's our first picture! Here we are walking into one of the 'islands.' There are small areas set up with cultural icons from all the different islands in the Pacific.

Photobucket

Here I am twirling the poi.....it's explained in the clip.

Photobucket

This was one of our favorite activities, we played a stick game that was a lot of fun.

Photobucket

Nothing else too interesting happened, but I'll post all our videos and some of our pics. There are clips of us playing more games, buying lava lavas and just putzing around.

As you can see, we started getting rained on heavily by the end of the day. We weren't ready for it.

Day 3

The next day we woke up and went to the temple. It's absolutly beautiful there, and we got some pretty great pics.

We only got one video clip of it

Afterwards we went to Giovanni's Shrimp Van. We drove by it a couple of times the first trip to hawaii. I wanted to eat there, but didn't get to until this trip. Here's my review and pics

Then before we took off we went to our favorite Shave Ice place, Matsumoto's....or something like that.

Here's us at the airport sitting there for a few hours before we left, and us in front of the little plane we flew on.

Day 4

This was a great day, if not very interesting. I think Amy was sick, or maybe I was, but we just laid around and did nothing.

Photobucket

We managed to fall out of bed for long enough to go walk through a little outdoor shopping center.

Photobucket

We went to blockbuster to get some videos to watch and relax.

Photobucket

We also managed to get to Tropical Taco where they have some pretty decent fish tacos. They aren't the best though because they add too much crap....fish and cabbage, keep it simple.

Day 5

We woke up slowly on day 5.

Photobucket

We drove down and looked at a waterfall that was just a short drive away.

Photobucket

I look scary in this picture.

Photobucket

Then we went to a little spout in the rocks, I can't remember the name, but we say it in the clip.

Then off to lunch

We then did some snorkling. Here's me looking scary

Photobucket

Here's my gut and man boobs looking even scarier

Photobucket

Day 6

Totally lame day for the blog. We drove around and ate some more shrimp and burgers. First clip is us getting ready for the day and planning our next couple of days.

Day 7

Today we went Surfing!!!! I had been waiting to do this for over a year since the last time so Amy set it up for me.

OH, we had forgotten to take pictures of our car up to this point that we had been driving around in. We had a red mustang which was great for cruising around a tropical island.

Day 8

This was a huge adventure day.

Photobucket

Here's Amy looking super nervous as I show the raft we're going out on.

Photobucket

We have tons of random video and pictures from this day, I'm just going to throw it all up.

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

In these clips there is random stuff as well as some good shots of dolphins swimming around and some other cool stuff.

Half way through the day we stopped on an island and hung out. Here's the video.

Here's me with the Noni fruit that mom was into for a while.

Photobucket

Here's some more of us on the island.

While we were there we also went snorkeling again.

Also, I kept staring at this guy who totally looked like the actor who played Elder Rogers in "The Best Two Years." The only reason I remember him is because people always say I look like him. Well, I had to ask. So, I asked if his name was KC Clyde, and low and behold he was. I didn't want to seem too gay, but I did ask to take a picture of him.

Photobucket

Most important event of the day. I went to my now favorite Hot Dog place. I explain a little more in the video, but it's Puka Dogs. The best hot dogs in the world, and they are on Kauai, I think in Poiipu at a little strip mall. We stopped there looking for something to eat .

Photobucket

Day 9

This was the last day of our trip. We started off by heading down to the helicopter landing pad. Here's a ton, and I mean a ton, of video clips.

PhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucketPhotobucket

I don't think there's anything in particular to watch, but they are nice. Oh, I should add that we almost went with another helicopter company that we could pay a bunch of extra money for, but get in the front seats. Well, we ended up sitting in the front seat anyway without paying extra. Here are a some pics of the trip.

We had about 4 more clips of us reviewing our trips, but they were too big to upload. Here's us spending our last few minutes in the room before we were kicked out and roamed around for 12 hours waiting for our plane to leave.

Photobucket

We finally went and got some chocolate

Photobucket

We took some random pics of us as pineapple

Photobucket

Photobucket

And finally, here is the last clip of us sitting on the beach talking as we spend our last few minutes of daylight in Hawaii.
