For our Honeymoon, we stayed in a really nice cabin tucked deep into the woods near Show Low. We ventured to the local towns of Show Low and Springerville for a bite to eat, or to see the local fireworks, (which we endured 30 minutes of nothingness in a blank sky, before we gave up and began to head home, only to discover they were just beginning, we turned into a local MacDonald's and with music, picnic benches, and soft drinks watched the event Show Low had been anticipating! The rain came and went, granting most the our time there with very cool crisp air and perfect weather. The mountains are beautiful this time of year, we took the fourwheeler through the many hills and meadows the forest offered.
Married life as the Petersens! We ventured to visit our new ward, the Casa Grande 3rd Ward. It was different than we are use to, you really forget how different singles wards are than family wards until you visit them again. We are really lucky though, we have Andrews sister & brother-in-law and their adorable baby Audrey to visit with. The ward is small, but nice, and everyone seemed really friendly!
We opened gifts on Monday night with our families, and were surrounded by much love and generosity! We enjoyed pizza, soda, and a grand lemon dessert to top it off with. Over all we had tons of really nice gifts and cards, and had even more fun opening them!
Next week is my dad's 50th so we are headed out to spend the weekend with my folks.
